A Giveaway and Three, Yes, Three Posts In One!

I had a lot of ideas for a post this week and was prepared to do only one of them, but then yesterday I got my winnings in the mail from the amazing Mindi at Word to Your Mother.

Oh, JOY! I LOVE getting things in the mail!

Did I mention that I always do online shopping because I LOVE getting things in the mail!

And while I'm on the subject, can I say that I LOVE getting things in the mail!

So here is the amazing purse:
I can't wait to use it! (and yes, I know that it doesn't go with the outfit that I have on today, but I forgot to match it for the pic---so GET OVER IT!)

Thank you, thank you, thank you Mindi for choosing me!
(And I apologize if I was whining about not hearing from you---I'm so ungrateful---
bad, bad, blogger)

So, since I was so EXCITED by my win, I decided last night to do a GIVEAWAY of my own---you know, share the love, share the fun, share the getting something in the mail just for you!!

Well,....my first inkling was to give away a hat. Un chapeau. Un Capello. El Sombrero. An Easter bonnet. Those of you who know me know that I am a collector of hats. I used to have about 65 hats...well, until I lent about 25 of them to someone and they never returned them.

Totally wrong, right? But I haven't been able to track them down. Someone has a bin of hats that they probably sold at their garage sale, forgetting who they belong to. Argghhhh....

But here is one of my favorite hats! (I do love those hats that look like the "20's")
(Someday I will do a post on just my hats---I could definitely do that...)

So, in my quest to find a hat, I went to my favorite place. Well, one of them. Yes, its Target----and I still have the fantasy of being able to have enough money to buy anything that I want when I go there. (You know how it is---you keep seeing cute things that you can use----sigh)

But, today they did NOT have a lot in the hat department. I was disappointed, but I perservered. And sure enough, there were lots of other cool things, and I decided to get a few, cause I couldn't decide on just one....

So, HERE is what I decided to giveaway! It is a darling reversible purse----so cute and the colors that they had were great, but I decided on this bright pink and orange one. It is medium sized---so if you carry a ton of things, it might not be the bag for you, but then again, you can find SOMETHING for it!

Here is the outside shot.

Or if you want to turn it inside out----isn't that the cutest?

And then I found the most adorable plastic containers for travel. Do you travel a lot? I do and I really liked these with their plaid pink and black pattern---so I got an extra set----and of course, its always good to have a loofah sponge since they go bad so quickly. (Can't stand it when they get all moldy and smelly!)

Here is a pic of the containers---ready to fill for your travels!

So, then you know the drill.

1. You comment and let me know what your favorite thing about spring is, and if you would like either of the gifts! That is one entry.

2. You write a short ditty and have a link to my blog for another entry---then come back and let me know with a comment---that is another entry.

3. If you "follow" me, or are already a stalker, then you get another entry! (I really need to feel the love)

This giveaway will go for a week, until April Fools Day! And I will be having my young son, Aydan, do the drawing for the winners---then announce it and get it right out to you!

AND....if I don't get any comments, I guess that I will keep them both for myself....

***I am STILL going to try and find an amazing hat---because I really think that spring and summer warrants a fantastic chapeau!***

Ohhh girrrlll you know I'm going to try for this one!

Ok so I love spring because lets face it - everything comes alive! My heart feels lighter and I'm ready to be the best person I can be - is that cheesy? I cant help it - its the truth!

Who wouldn't want to have either of those lovely gifts? Did I mention my favorite color is pink? :)

First, I love that hat on you, it's so cute.

The best thing about Spring is seeing the trees bud out, and I subscribe to you in my reader.

Now wait a minute. YOu said if we were a follower we were in.

So, I like the travel goodies and hope to be able to travel. Somewhere. Anywhere.

And I like the light of spring the best. We sat on the lawn swings today IN THE FREEZING COLD because my depressed little mind needed the light. What I got was goose bumps.

It is really hard to narrow down my favorite thing about spring, so I'll narrow it down to 3: 1) The sunnier evenings 2) The warmer weather, 3) the spring flowers.

And I would love either present. But I'm leaning towards the purse.

I love the special freshness in the air that signifies spring is here.... plus the lilacs when they bloom!

Cute pink purse!

I honestly don't need either one of these darling gifts, but I wanted to at least drop by and say hello! I think it takes a particularly generous heart to do these giveaways; it seems like quite a bit of work. So just saying "Hi" and hope you have fun with this!

As for my favorite thing about spring, it is that this is the only time of year where Las Vegas weather and landscape actually make something of an effort. The rest of the year it's hot and dirty, or cold and dirty. But spring is flowery and pink and joyous, if only for a few weeks.

Favorite thing about spring..hmm. I love that I can go running outside in the spring and just be in the fresh air. I also love that I can open my windows in my house instead of being all cooped up inside.

You should also write a blog about your quilts...I love them all.

('cause that's just how I roll...so yes you'll be displayed on my blog!)

Hi - I found your blog through the comment you left on my guest post over at Kate's! So glad you liked it. I LOVE that pink purse. Mine, mine, mine! (from Finding Nemo!) My favorite thing about spring is definitely the shoes and the purses and the dresses...ahh, spring!

Spring? The birds singing of course!

I think I like the bottles. No, the purse. No, the bottles. I can't decide.

Also, you should check on etsy for hats. Unless you insist on trying them on first.

Nothing like a new hat - though I go for the floppy brim look (what decade was that, anyway?)...

I love the early morning sunshine, and the late afternoon sunshine, and all the sunshine inbetween! And I think the purse looks best right-side-out (not that you asked).

I love spring because it is the END of looooooong New England winter. And spring flowers. Love love love them.

I love getting out of my frumpy sweatshirts and sweaters.

I love the feeling of warm air on my bare arms. I'm ready to shake off the winter chill!

And I want the bag!

I LOVE the travel set! SO cute. And did I mention that my wedding colors were pink and orange? So fabulous.

My favorite thing about Spring...that's really hard to narrow down. I am obsessed with blossom trees, I love the smell in the air when every tree is in bloom! But I have to say that my absolute favorite thing about Spring is the rain. Every time it rains I stop what I'm doing and my sons and I go out to the front porch and watch the rain...those moments are priceless!

Oh I LOVE Spring!!! Right now, my favorite thing is that I can start to see some green grass, and I don't need the thermostat turned up so high lol!! This Winter was brutal for us in NE wasn't it???! I am super excited to get back in my garden - this is the year of the front garden for me:)

The prizes are lovely - I'd love either! I am rather partial to hot pink and orange as a combo though! I have an orange kitchen - on purpose...I'm not afraid of color!

And of course I forgot to say that I'm already a stalker oops I mean follower of your blog ;)

My favorite thing about spring is baseball/softball season begins!

What a cute purse! A girl can never have too many bags for Spring, right? My fingers are crossed!

Hi! I love spring because it puts me in a lighter mood. I feel like more things are possible. I love, love, love the flowers. I don't love my pasty white, scaly skin that has been covered all winter long, but that's a different story.

I'd love to win either gift!

Ok - you probably already know I'm not a purse gal since you see me with the same REI all function bag everywhere I go. (ok - I didn't take it to the Nutcracker!) BUT, I do travel a lot and I never have anything to put my stuff in, so I would LOVE the travel bottles.

My favorite thing about spring? THE END OF WINTER. The opening of Erikson's Ice Cream is a close second too. (then, the bugs and rain come and my adoration for the new season goes away quick.)

Thanks for commenting on my blog. Now, if I can just figure out how you do those other entries...

Oh you look so cute in hats. Target is one of my daughters favorite places to shop too. I think you mentioned awhile back that you are out in the Boston area. I actually have a daughter who lives there too. I'm hoping to see her at some point when I use my trip I won. It would be fun to hook up. Boston is an amazing city!!

I thought maybe I couldn't enter because I'm related! And yes, I have been sick--sorry!

My favorite thing about Spring is when the weather is all beautiful and gorgeous and you go outside and soak up the sun for hours and everyone's happy and the kids run free and THEN it turns freezing and snowing again with no end in sight!!

Oh wait, that's my LEAST favorite thing--blerg!

You girls are alllllll amazing! I am really excited about doing the drawing----and will probably do it all non-technical, as I am technical challenged...

But I will let everyone know next Wed.!!

Happy Spring! (It was 30 degrees here this morning---ugh!)

Favorite thing about spring? Well, it's got to be the thrill of knowing summer is coming and imaging trips to the beach and sitting outside to read. Ahhh, I love that!

I'm already your stalker so add a double for me! :)

You are so cute in your hats!

Hi Auntie Shawn. I'm sorry, I'm not really in the mood for random free stuff fun. I just got back from visiting my friend who came home from the hospital with a bleeding stomach ulser diagnosis. Yeah, it's the same friend. We were joking about how she's going to change her name to Job. So, maybe I'll enter HER into the drawing--for the bag, I don't think she'll be traveling for awhile (although she needs a really long vacation...or a coma). Her name is Andrea and her blog is www.thedaileyz.blogpot.com. I don't know what her favorite thing about spring is, but my favorite is the reminder that winter doesn't last forever. Even if the world may be covered in blowing snow right now, the bulbs are coming up and promising that eventually there will be flowers, and green grass, and sunshine.

Thanks for stopping by my blog. I do live in the east! Yay! Love the hats! I am a hat girl myself and who knew that Target had hats! I need to check that out! Love the pink bag, fun colors! And Spring, I love being able to see my flowers peaking up from the soil. Just when I thought they were dead and gone, they come back and I wonder, how'd that happen!

I just found your blog today, and I LOVE it! Put me in for the hat. My favorite thing about Spring . . . what's that? In Idaho, we have winter, winter, Summer, winter. Well, if anything, at least Spring means we're getting closer to Summer.

Mom n Pop Wilson said...

Is that how you get to be popular? Give stuff away? I'll have to remember that.:)

I don't need the gifts, cute as they may be, but I have to say that I LOVE SPRING. I love how the earth comes alive. I love looking out at my beautifully blooming hyacinth and daffodils. I love knowing that in spite of the gray skies, cold days and occasional snow storms, the color and the warm days will increase until suddenly summer is upon us.
