AAAARRRRRGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
Yes, its that time of year again...
Time to pull out the old, review, and bring on the new...
You know what I'm talking about...
New Year's resolutions...
I, technically, have never been a big "New Years" person... I don't drink, and I don't really get into the celebrating thing that much and would rather be doing a gig... (so I am busy and I can run down off stage right after midnight and give my hubby a smooch, then go back up for another hour of singing...)
But, this year, I got canceled out of my gig, (apparently it doesn't look good to have ONE back-up singer on New Years...you need two and the money wasn't there for two...) so I am hanging with the family and doing the snacks, watch movies, dance around, and all hug and smooch at the specified time...
Well and good, but we all know that its that time of the year when we
re-evaluate ourselves and make new resolutions....which we will break after several months or maybe even several days.....
Soooo, here goes mine......
1. Apparently we are supposed to smooch more often, (I got this off the internet of the top resolutions that would be good for us for this year....hmmmm)
so I will put this at the top of my list, as I like doing that,.....AND hugging, alot!
2. I will start writing "thank you" notes this year... (this is a leftover from last year, where I didn't even do one......sigh....)....even if it is just written as an
e-mail...
3. I will lose 15 lbs. (last year it was only 10....go figure....)
4. I will exercise at LEAST four times a week and join a gym to do the weight machines... (this one isn't too bad, as I actually love to exercise....refer to earlier blog)...or maybe get my own machine---I would LOVE one of those!
5. I will try to start my theater this year....it looks like I finally have a building for it...if we can get our house sold, and get some grant money, and....( I really need a partner for this, so if you want a crack at it, and have a real good head for marketing, and financing, and grants, etc.----let me know----I can do all the creative stuff....and we can probably get you a place to live in the building, rent free...!)
6. I will read my scriptures everyday.... (I have done terribly on this one, and really NEED to get back on track...)
7. I will try to play with Aydan more often....er....really get down on the floor and PLAY stuff with him....er....maybe do some games with him.....er.....maybe just read with him..... (Poor Aydan....I am soooooo burned out with raising kids....)
8. I will only watch the tube two nights a week......(I'll just Tivo the other days and watch them all on those two days...I just can't get enough of BBC America, Project Runway, America's Top Model, and HGTV!)
9. I will be better at being on time......(yeah, right......)
10. I will appreciate my family and tell them more often that I love them, adore them, and will overlook the eccentricities that drive me crazy....
(at least for a week....)
There......
I feel much better now....
I know that I have a lot more that need to be dealt with, but I'm not going to push it....
I will try to do these until the end of January, at least.................er...........until January 15th...........er................at least for the first week of January.....

Wow, I get to be the first post. I'm so excited. You have good resoloutions and personally I don't think you will make it past the first day! LOL I only have a few myself.
1. Get my DIVORCE, finally! (you would think after 4yrs of being separated I already would be)
2. Not be a bigamist! LOL
3. Finally win that big POWERBALL and stay home and watch my soaps. (I listen to them at work on my radio that plays TV sounds)
4. Plan the biggest and best family reunion that Shawn will probably miss
5. Not burn through all my vacation time by June
6 Not get sick as much, which means I would need to quit my job and stay home. WHOOHOO
7. Move into a house
8. Take some actual vactions (mexico is calling out for me and Toni)
9. Spend more time reading with Toni
10. Have my dream wedding on the beach in Mexico! JK :)
I will be celebrating on New Years eve! We are going to try and stay awake until 10pm. Which is pushing it for all of us. Unlike you I do have Champagne in my fridge (leftovers from Christmas eve with my in laws) Though I do have the non alco as well in the fridge. To us it is just another day, nothing exciting. New years day I am making a bourbon glazed ham(tasty). I will be on vacation the whole next week( I really need it as Im getting perturbed with management here and I'm not being quiet about it)I think they were more than willing to let me have the time off. Ya know I had my own web page back in the day and I even had myself on there singing and giggling. (how weird is that)
That is all I have to say and let it be known that the youngest sibling is always the coolest. Besides everyone else is too old to play on the computers. JK I love them all.
I think the hugging and kissing is a very good idea...
(And us middle children are pretty cool too)
Ahem...
HUGGING and KISSING...
More of THAT please!
Alright, Heather...you go, girl...get that divorce!
As for Michael...thanks for letting me know...sorry you took it in a bad way...
...and Brinna...you are definitely inheriting my millions, just for always commenting on my blog! :)
Heh heh heh...
My master plan is working...
Huh? Millions? Wha? I'm here, I'm here!
I thought those were all good resolutions, but maybe this year you'll also realize you're NOT FAT!!! (this coming from someone who has begun to think her butt is trying to take over the rest of her body)
Brinna you are right, I guess middle children are pretty cool as well. Though I always thought you were cool. :)
Shawn..You are far from being fat and you should have had your own "one woman show" who needs a man to decide our fate ;)
Hailey..Your butt is far from taking over your body :)
Michael.. Spell check buddy, JK!! I say that in love even though I don't know you and will probably never meet u unless you come to the biggest and best family reunion this summer. You will find that I am the smart a$$ sister of Shawn and probably the wildest of my siblings. Hope to meet you one day.
Shawn, we are into Jan, how are you doing on your resolutions? I haven't met any of mine yet.
