My hubby and I have always felt so blessed to have this wonderful family as our friends. My husband, Bret, has enjoyed going mountain biking with her husband (they love coming home and showing off their scrapes and bruises from their insane rides!) and we have loved having their sweet little girls over when we are having get-togethers.
I am sure that you remember that phenomenal concert that I went to with this sweet lady----U2----remember? We shared a lot of laughs that night, and I felt that I bonded with her a bit more. She is such a beautiful girl, with a bit of a sarcastic wit, (that I love) and has such a great giving and loving nature. She has almost felt like a daughter to me, as she is young and energetic and so cute.... I love her spirit, her wisdom, her intellect, her down to earth attitude, her love of being a mother, her super blogging---(be sure and check out her blog!) and her tolerance of New England. (It was something that we disagreed on, as I LOVE New England----but she made me laugh, as she complained constantly---sorry, Michelle----but you were the cutest thing when you were whiny!)
But she and her husband have now moved on.
They have taken a job in Albuquerque, and it seems like a long, long way away. I keep telling myself that we will go there to visit someday. After all, I also have another friend there----my sisters brother in law that was a great friend of mine in college.
But I know that I will miss her.
I looked forward to her smile across the pews on Sunday and chatting a bit after church. And I will forever miss the sharing of our crazy traditions with her family each holiday.

Work and school are crunched in together so I won't be able to leave all day. Have fun though. Miss you!

awwww..that's a bummer she is moving so far away. Hopefully between the phone and internet it will be like she never left (kinda sorta)
It's hard to have them move away, but the TRUE ones? Never leave you.
It's so great to have friends like that. And so sad when they move away.

I hate when friends leave. And I'm both bad at posting and reading blogs. You take a break and deal with all that stress. thinking of you.
You're going to make me cry. Really. Eight months ago, I moved from the best little town ever away from my forever friend...who I met in church. Life here in another state just isn't the same without her. I really miss her so much. To make matters worse, we're moving to New Mexico next month which means we'll be further away from each other. Maybe I can borrow your forever friend. lol

I'm finally able to post a comment on the actual blog - not just on fb. Thanks again for all the wonderful things you said about me. I do and will miss you. Thanks also for sharing your hubby with us last week. He did SO much for us and we are extremely grateful.
What an amazing friend - she will definitely be missed, as all lifelong friends like that are when they move on - but I hope you get to visit her soon!

It's really hard to maintain a close friendship with someone who is so far away but it is possible. My best friend is in Canada and I've been in Belize for almost 7 years and we are still almost as close as we were when we were in the same city. Keep faith and email often!
